creating logos on illustrator

 On this blog i will be explaining how the google logo was made on illustrator. Firstly i drew my circle with alt key to get my perfect circle then picked a colour for the circle, i then drew another circle with left key and alt key and picked a different colour and placed it right on top of the first big circle use no stroke lines. Use  the align key first so that the circles can align  the circle so  it could have even spaces then use the selection key to select both circles then click the pathfinder tool then mius front which would give you a donut shape. Go to view- rulers- show rulers and add to the artboard, click and drag ruler forom the top and from the left side into the circle. drag both rulers into the centre usign align tool.

Use the rectangle tool to draw a rectangle in the exact size of the circle path then drag to the centre of the circle then i put my rulers away and selected the circle and the rectangle and used the divide tool under align so as to divide the edges and take out unwanted parts. using my direct selection tool to take out the part of the rectangle sticking out of the circle then click delete. After  i pulled in my guidelines and used the rotate key to rotate my lines to desired angles to get my G shape then i selected the circle rectangle and my guidelines together and used divide tool under pathfinder to take out lines outside the circle . then i had my circle segmented into different parts usind direct selection i selected the parts not needed then delete, then i used the direct selection tool again to click each segments and put in different colours to  them.With my circle looking like the google logo i used the direct selection key to select the guildelines inside my circle the delete and selected the three side that is the blue coloured path then used pathfinder tool then unite key to combine the three. To give it the edited look i used Effect- 3D and materials- extrude and inflate where the ones i used then adjusted it to my preferred choice . I chose to put my google logo in a 3d like style.

On the other picture i was playing around, i created a new art board using art board tool then copied one of my google logo then pasted on the second art board and copied some parts of the logo and pasted it to make patterns then i selected each of them and reduced opacity and different colour tones and adjusted it to different directions to make some patterns. I basically played around with the google parts which was very much fun.

For the Nike logo I pasted a nike logo picture which I got from google and then I locked the picture by clicking object at the top left corner then lock image so not to move the picture. Then I used the rectangle tool and alt key to draw a rectangle on the N shape so as to cover the alphabets, I adjusted and straightened it so as to give me a sleek line then I outlined the rest and used different colour after editing each alphabets. So for the Nike mark I used pen tool to outline the sign and I adjusted the curves and lines as well to get the perfect lines then using the gradient tool I picked my four colours and added them in logo. For editing others I  copied and pasted the nike and it's logo on a new art board which I created using the art board tool, I pasted the logo then clicked on effect then to 3D and materials and then I played around with some effects to create this designs.

The image used to create this is from amazon, I pasted the image the art board and locked the image by clicking on object then lock image so the main picture doesn't move then I used my pen tool to trace out the lines on the machine then I traced each parts and coloured them all after tracing them
