BRAND LOGO(FUTURE ALIGNMENT)
I used the Adobe Illustrator in creating this logo (Future Alignment);
- Who is your chosen artist/band - and what do you find interesting about them and their music?
- How did you come up with the idea for your logo and album cover? What feeling did you want your cover to present?
- What techniques did you need to use (in Illustrator) to construct your designs?
- How did you respond to tutor feedback and your own instincts to make adjustments along the way?
- How did you consider: space... focal points... alignments... cohesion... contrast... proximity...?
My chosen artist is Chris Brown and he is one of my best artist as I find his songs and personality really good, from his melodic voice to how it rhymes passionately with his lyrics and to the about his dance steps which is really creative. His songs all have strong backup ideas to his songs and he is a handsome person and a good father to his kid Royalty brown, I really love how I can vibe to Chris brown's music at any time I love how his words are used how good it feels when I listen to his songs i.e; under the influence, how we roll, loyal, go crazy, sensational, Don't judge me, say goodbye and his latest Angel numbers (11). He is an American singer whom has much love for acrobat and has also shown his love for acrobats in performing with various African artists like Davido (Blow my mind), wizkid (African Bad Gyal) etc.
While I was doing my nike logo, and picking the colours I thought of the colour idea I wanted for the album cover and how it would link to the artists personality and taste. My interest in picking Chris Brown goes with the logo colour picked as in his fashion sense he has really greta taste in living colours well and his dressing style is really good
I linked the colour decision of my logo cover to Chris brown's taste in hairstyles and dressings. I want the cover to represent patterns just like Chris brown's rhythmic voice patterns, the logo follows a pattern and the word Future Alignment goes with the logo choice and the album cover, this album cover can sell many songs in the market as the artist using this can present what is expected for example most artists album cover can be different from the content of the song under the album but in Chris Brown's case he is a really talented person and I felt this album cover can go with his script of ideas in creating melodious songs to represent the cover.The techniques I used; I used the ruler to line out my shapes and I cut them out using pathfinder tool to take out the excess not needed then using effects to blur each of them to desired satisfaction. The techniques used are all quite simple and easy to use.
Considering my space; I made my work not so clustered but spaced and easy to read and understand even for a walk by individuals. the use of colour and design can also attract kids and older people, The blurring is not so much and the designs are clear enough and detailed to attract customers and fans.
focal points; The attraction for the customers and what draws them most is the proper structure of the work from the colour to words placement, then the spacing.. The idea of the logo is very much attractive it doesn't only speak to one age group but can attract different age groups both young and older ones.
Alignment; the alignment is good and the letters are boldly written and clear with good colour choice and colour combination with a good presentation as well with the use of cool colours and proper aligning.Cohesion; provides a really good impression and story or expectation to the album and song knowing how good and rated the musician is the first impression is really conducive or everyone.
Proximity; the repetition of patterns really brought out a good result, the design is really effective and creative it's not so busy neither is it very crowded with the right amount of colour choice and pattern placement the deign is really good and speaks well on the idea to be placed.
