Adobe after effects 2023

 Menu bar (file, edit, composition etc are at the upper left corner of the screen.

Tools ( selection, home, search, rectangle etc are below the menu bars.

Project panel- Where you import files by double clicking, organise assets right below the tool panel.

Composition panel- (shows the uploaded video or layers video in timeline.

Timeline is at the bottom left (show the uploaded composition).

TO IMPORT

You can also go to file - import - file to open the file folders.

On the project panels (the files) When click name the folders rearrange alphabetically.

To put files under project panel in folders.

Select and drag down to folder icon (*)the name

To delete files drag to the bin 🗑️

TO MAKE A NEW COMPOSITION

Click on composition a the upper left corner then on preset - Custom 1920px by 1080px

Frame rate: 30

Duration- 0:00:10:00 (stands for 0 hours,00 minutes,10 seconds and 00 frames)

After which I imported the files into the project pabel. Another way to upload on composition panel, click on files and drag below to the icon which uploads images/ videos into composition.

TO ADD FONT COLOUR

Select the first folder under project folder then- layer- new- solid- then type in desired colour.

On the timeline drag the colour folder below the video logo then click the drop down arrow- transform- adjust opacity.

You can also drag a timeline to a frame you want to.

Click W- for rotate rool

V- for selection tool

P- for position

S- for scale

T- for opacity

R- for rotation

A- for anchor point

J and K moves you up and down the timeline

TO ADD KEYFRAMES

eg: for opacity reduce the opacity to zero then click on the stopwatch then move to a new frame 1f/2f then increase opacity.

When adjusting an object logo on key frame the line shown when adjusting position is called the animation path.

I moved to the second key frame of APEAK on my logo layer and clicked the watch then for position under the logo I started the position key frame and moved back to the first keyframe and adjusted my position y axis...x,y for the logo to go way down the frame.

For the logo name to move in with the logo, on key frame  drag the logo name timeline to the first frame which is the second keyframe of logo.

For easy keyframe animation.. clicked on logo- (position) then animation- keyframe assistant- easy ease. This provides smooth motion to the keyframe.

To import in Photoshop files or illustrator files into an empty project, double click on project panel and click on assets in the folderfules and import the right files.

To duplicate the green layer,click the green layer then ctrl+d.

To apply blur effect to the background on the layer- then effect (upper left)- blurand sharpen- fauxbox blur.

Click the faux box blur stopwatch then move to the second keyframe and increase the faux box blur to 50.00%. After which click on the background layer again and click U and this would show you the animated parameters.

On the timeline layer the swatches section are the FX section, where you can deselect and select effects applied.

To change the workspace click the arrows on the top right corner of the page (I changed mine to text). This will bring out the character panel to adjust fonts and all.

To highlight a written text go to the layer (text)on the timeline and double click on the T to highlight the written text in the composition panel.

To zoom in hold down your mouse and click z then drag over object or text and let go of mouse and z to zoom out click comma key to zoom in full stop.

To add effect presets to text, click the text on timeline- animation- browse preset- text- animate in- double click desired preset.

Animate keyboard and City example

On Adobe Animate I opened the new document and named it CityExample (W-960, H-640, Frame rate-30, on platform HTML5 Canvas). Then created seven different layers( sky_day, sky_night, city_day, city_night, buttons,labels, actions), next I clicked on the city day layer and used the rectangle tool to draw out my style of skyscrappers in the city with different colours then selected the whole drawings and modify-convert to symbol (movie clip)then named it city_ day then on the symbol page i added new layers for the building and the windows as well, on windows layer i put in my windows and duplicated and fixed in a few windows(pink) then on buildings layer i selected the frames to 30 and right clicked to add in frames, while for windows i selected frame 10, 20 and 30 and added keyframes on each keyframes moved I took out and adjusted some windows and duplicated the cityday simbol under layer and renamed it to city night then double clicek the symbol - tapped the windows layer then select the...
